Book Fair Benefits Students and School

It's Book Fair Time! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held at Mills Lawn Library November 6-10 and the proceeds support the library. Students will have the opportunity to browse the book fair during their normal library time as well as a few occasional time slots that their teachers plan out.
You can help!
Volunteers are needed for 1-2 hour shifts (or longer if you are up to it!) throughout the week. We would love to have at least two volunteers work each shift to run the cash register and help kids find the books they like. You can also help the kids put together a wish list of the books they are interested in reading. There is some sorting and clean up after classes have finished looking before the next class comes to browse the selection. Extra perk: Volunteers get a special discount on purchases! Help is also needed for book fair set up and tear down.
Don't forget the teachers!
Teachers also have the opportunity to put together wish lists as well. Those are available for parents to see in the book fair in order to buy a book for a teacher’s classroom if they wish.
The Book Fair is open during regular school hours, with a special Family Night on Tuesday, November 8 with extended hours to 8pm. Be sure to stop by for dinner in the cafeteria with our annual Soups-n-Souls event then head on over to shop for some books in the library. We look forward to seeing you then!
